Leisure Wheels spotlights the excitement of adventure motoring off the beaten track. The primary focus is on four-wheel drive vehicles - especially those targeted at the growing leisure market in South Africa - but also 4x2 leisure vehicles such as MPVs, double cabs and station wagons. The Magazine covers all the traditional motoring subject matter - new models, in-depth road tests, on-road and off-road impressions, technical articles, product news, accessories, off-road racing and industry news. Motoring adventure widens the scope to include tourist destinations, boating, caravanning, camping, off-road trailers, roof-top tents and the myriad of products that go with an outdoor adventure lifestyle. Leisure Wheels, was again presented with a merit award when the magazines designated as the best in their categories, were honoured at the 2004 ADvantage Admag Awards in April 2005. The ADmag citation read: "The content reflected the target market throughout. Compared to other magazines covering the leisure genre it was voted the best." The magazine has twice been awarded the prestigious Pica award for the best consumer motoring magazine by the Magazine Publishers Association of SA, and twice walked off with overall honours in the motoring section of the ADmag Awards.
